Expect Snow and Rain Through Friday

Snowfall estimates in Essex County are between 1 and 3 inches.

Snow is expected to hit Bloomfield and the area this week starting Wednesday. 

Wednesday will bring clouds and a chance of rain or snow before 9 a.m. as temperatures climb to a high of 41 F for the day. The winds will be noticeable at 16 to 20 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service. Wind gusts may be as high as 30 miles per hour.

Snow is expected to start falling around 6 p.m. Wednesday. Temperatures will drop to around 31 F and winds will whip at 21 to 32 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent, and snow accumulation is predicted to be between 1 and 3 inches.

Thursday will bring a chance of snow before 9 a.m., which will then convert to rain as temperatures reach a high of about 41 F. Winds will continue to blow in excess of 20 miles per hour. The chance of rain throughout the day is 40 percent. 

As night comes, the temperatures will drop to around 32 F and possibly bring snow.

On Friday, snow may fall before noon as temperatures hit a high of 45 F. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Friday evening will bring an end to any chance of snow. Clouds and a low of 31 F are in store for Friday night.
