Child on Bike Strikes Car on Watchung Avenue
No summons issued to driver because of witnesses' reports
An 11-year-old child was transported to Mountainside Hospital for medical care after riding his bicycle into the side of a moving car early Tuesday evening, according to Capt. Joseph Pulido, spokesman for the Bloomfield Police Department.
Pulido would not comment on the extent of the child's injuries.
Several witnesses said they saw the child come out between two parked cars on Watchung Avenue near Davidson Road at around 6:25 p.m., striking a passing 2008 Nissan Altima.

No summons was issued to the driver, identified as a 30-year-old Bloomfield resident.
