A Fitting Memorial to Veterans

Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo, Jr. outlined a new design for the Bloomfield Cemetery on Tuesday

Members of the Disabled American Veterans Post 22 of Belleville and Nutley joined officials from Bloomfield and other New Jerey municipalities on June 12 to outline plans to modernize Glendale Cemetery.  Organinizing the event was Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr., who displayed an architectural rendering that depicted what that portion of the cemetery will look like when completed.

DiVincenzo explained that the Bloomfield cemetery is being upgraded to provide a fitting resting place for the U.S. military veterans who are buried there. A veterans' memorial will also be created to provide an area to host future memorial services or commemorations, he said.
