Women In Jazz Month: Kazzrie Jaxen Quartet This Weekend

See one of the funniest plays ever written on Broadway, listen to some cool jazz, and volunteer to make origami for Japan efforts this weekend.

  • Why Go: In preparation for April, Jazz Appreciation Month, see the jazz quartet Quaternity led by Kazzrie Jaxen (formerly known as Liz Gorrill) who Robert Palmer called a “striking talent” about her performance at Carnegie Hall.

  • Why Go: Another way to help Japan during this tragic time, you can go to the library and make origami cranes that we will donated to the Hiroshima Museum to foster the message of peace.
  • Pricing: This program is free, but registration is requested.  For children age 7 and older, and all children under age 12 must be acompanied by an adult.

  • Why Go: Directed by a Broadway star, this show about two new, unprepared parents is promising to be laugh-out loud funny, and the show is right in Bloomfield!
  • Pricing: Tickets are $10.00 and reservations are strongly suggested.

  • Why Go: While getting or returning some new books, turn the corner in the Bloomfield Public Library to see Ben Silver singing folk, jazz and some classic favorites, whose songs have been published in The Washington Post and Sing Out Magazine.
