Sound for the Hounds Puppy Mill Awareness Concert and Festival

The second annual PUPPY MILL AWARENESS CONCERT will be held in Brookdale Park on Saturday, September 8, from 10am-5pm.  Come rain or shine to learn how you can help end puppy mills.  Free and open to the public, four-legged friends welcome!  Our special guests include TV star Anne Marie Lucas from Animal Planet's Animal Precinct, Laura Flynn Amato from the HBO documentary Madonna of The Mills, and from Main Line Animal Rescue, Bill Smith, the initiator of the puppy mill show on Oprah. There will be live music and food throughout the day, speakers and exhibits, and vendors with many different pet-friendly wares.  Rescue groups will be on-site with dogs for adoption and information about their groups.  There will be a Owner/Dog Lookalike Contest at 1:30.  Microchipping will be provided by the Bloomfield Animal Shelter for a donation of $20 to the Animal Support Fund.  Vendor spaces are still available.  For more information, please call 717-856-1316 or email jacki@soundforthehounds.com.  Website www.soundforthehounds.com
