Jill Rogoff: Tree of Life Havdalah Cafe

Troubador Jill Rogoff returns to Ner Tamid, bringing her audiences a rich tradition of music from around the world, sung in her magnificent voice. Originally from New Zealand, she currently lives in Jerusalem, and has mined the musical heritage of many cultures. Her repertoire embrances traditional Celtic and British Isles songs, Jewish music from around the world, early music and contemporary material that also includes her own songs. Jill appears at the Jacob's Ladder Folk Festival (the national folk music event in Israel), the Yehiam Renaissance Festival, the Rehovot Early Music Festival and the Abu Ghosh Vocal Festival. Jill will join Cantor Meredith Greenberg and the Ner Tamid choir for a truly special Shabbat experience on Friday, February 3 at 6:30 pm. Then on Saturday, February 4 at 8 pm Ner Tamid is proud to present The Tree of Life Havdalah Café featuring Jill Rogoff. Jill brings ceremonial and para-liturgical Jewish music in Hebrew, Aramaic, Yiddish and Ladino – songs of joy, of repentance as well as folk tunes from around the world. Tickets are $25 per person, available at the door, or, in advance at the temple office.
