Bloomfield Singer to make Lincoln Center Debut

Corinna Sowers-Adler performs in the New York Cabaret Convention on Thursday, Oct.10.

Bloomfield resident Corinna Sowers-Adler is doing what most performers only dream of: taking the stage at Lincoln Center.

Sowers-Adler performs in the New York Cabaret Convention on Thursday, Oct.10, at 6 p.m. in Lincoln Center’s Rose Theater at Jazz at Lincoln Center. 

Ms. Sowers-Adler will be joined on stage by such Broadway and Cabaret legends such as Klea Blackhurst, Sidney Myer, Mark Nadler, Sally Mayes and William Blake.

Corinna Sowers Adler has been performing since age 9 and began her professional career at 16 in the New York Debut of The Rope.  Corinna has created and is the host for the monthly series Music at the Mansion, which was nominated for a 2012 MAC award.  

She was nominated for the 2012 Broadway World Awards in the "Best Female Vocalist" and Best Host of a Variety Show" categories.  She has performed solo shows at the Laurie Beechman Theater, the Triad Theater, the legendary Duplex Cabaret, Feinstein’s at Loews Regency and the Metropolitan Room.

Sowers-Adler is the co-owner of NiCori Studios & Productions and was recently appointed Executive Director of Gas Lamp Academy of Performing Arts. 

Before moving to New Jersey in 2009, Corinna served as the Director of theatre for the Wilkes University Conservatory in Wilkes-Barrre, PA. She was also Artistic Director of Children’s theatre at the Historic Pocono and Bucks County Playhouses. She has performed across the country in theatrical productions and cabarets.
