PHOTOS: First Snowfall of 2012 [VIDEO]

The snowy weekend of Jan 21-22, 2012 is captured in a Patch photo gallery and a WBMA TV video.

After weeks of waiting for snow, Old Man Winter finally delivered on Saturday morning, when the first snowstorm of the new year hit Bloomfield.

With accumulations totaling 4-5 inches, it wasn't a big snowfall, but it was a welcome one, with many area residents spending the day sledding at Brookdale Park.

By Sunday morning, the snow had been cleared on most major roadways, thanks to the efforts of Bloomfield's Department of Public Works.  On Monday, with predicted rain and temperatures in the 50s, the snow will likely disappear as quickly as it came.
