The Cavalry Has Arrived!

Finally, we can get to our houses and driveways again on Linden Avenue.  Thanks.

Cars were towed and ticketed on Elm on Wednesday because homeowners could not get out of their driveways and the recycle truck had to by pass Elm , Church and East Church because the cars ( renters who do not live on Elm ) were blocking the street.

Jon, this has been such a mess for Bloomfield and still is, 7 days after the larger storm. I was trying to take a photo of a car on Daka and Broughton, right at the corner, covered with snow, under the No Parking When Road is Snow Covered (I'm sure there are plenty of other locations), but my camera failed me. I guess the homeowners could have gotten out if the streets could be plowed properly if the people had gotten their cars off the streets or been ticketed/towed early on. Too many ifs, just hope the town figures it out for next time. I heard they had big trucks on Lakewood to load and move the snow, but also heard that two town council members live on Lakewood. Just saying.

We call the police again and again until something is done. We are not going to put up with excuses, promises that are broken and pointing the finger at others. The town council was elected on the premise that they were the best qualified for the job, they were had the most experience , they had the vision, they were better prepared that the other candidates. Well, so far we do not see any of that--- while other towns take immediate action we sit around and think about what to do --- the problem is the Democrats do not want to ticket cars , they do not want to " cause a hardship", and do not want to offend any one. On Elm, Church and East Church we are not to going to stand for it under any circumstances - we want our tax dollars put to work and we want results.
