PVSC, BLOOMFIELD MIDDLE SCHOOL MARK WORLD WATER DAY AT OUTDOOR CLASSROOM

Students Recognize Importance of Water Quality through Experiments and Clean Up Activities

BLOOMFIELD, NJ - The Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission is partnering with Bloomfield Middle School students, teachers and staff to mark World Water Day* at the school’s award-winning Outdoor Classroom located near Clark’s Pond.  PVSC first constructed the Outdoor Classroom in 2012 to provide Bloomfield students with more hands-on opportunities to interact with nature and study the environment.  The Outdoor Classroom – the first of its kind in New Jersey- is the collaboration between PVSC’s River Restoration Program and Bloomfield Public Schools.  PVSC constructed the classroom from existing materials to achieve an actual teaching station, in a natural, bucolic setting.
