High Stakes Testing Forum, Gov. Christie Comes to Town

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is scheduled to make a campaign stop at Bloomfield's Nevada Diner at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The diner is located at 293 N Broad St  Bloomfield and their phone number is 973-743-9393.

On Wednesday at 7 p.m., the Bloomfield Board of Education, along with NJSBA, hosts a Town Hall Forum to discuss New Jersey’s mandates for new high-stakes tests at the Bloomfield High School Media Center, 160 Broad St.

On Wednesday, the Library hosts a Halloween party for children from 11 am. to noon, including a costume parade, a craft project and treats for children of all ages.

The Bloomfield High School Varsity football team takes on East Orange at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Foley Field.

The Bloomfield High School Marching Band Fall Invitational is Sunday at 12:45 p.m. at Foley Field. Fifteen marching bands will take the field to perform and compete.
