Booker Comes to Bloomfield Monday (UPDATE: CANCELED)
Newly sworn in Senator makes stops at two diners on Monday.
UPDATE: On Sunday night, Sen. Booker sent out a message via twitter saying that he was canceling his visit to Bloomfield. Booker will instead be in Washington D.C. for a vote on workplace discrimination. Michael Venezia confirmed the cancelation.
Bloomfield has been a major draw for nationally known politicians of late. On the heels of visits by Senator Bob Menendez and Governor Chris Christie, former Newark Mayor and newly sworn-in Senator Cory Booker comes to township Monday.

According to an announcement from Democratic candidate for Bloomfield Mayor Michael Venezia, Senator Booker will be in Bloomfield on Monday at the State Street Grill at 12:15 pm and Nevada Diner at 1:00 pm
Booker was originally scheduled to rally with Democrats on Saturday at Halycon Park, but had to miss the event to attend Saturday’s funeral for Essex County Democratic Chair Phil Thigpen.
