“EXPLORING SMALL BUSINESS OWNERSHIP”

--------------------------------------------------

Co-hosted by SCORE of Hudson County & FranNet of NY/NJ

Considering a career change, or has it been imposed upon you? Owning a business can be a real alternative. In America’s new career paradigm, business ownership may be the right vehicle to help you achieve financial independence, self-worth, and satisfaction.

This workshop will compare models, such as independent businesses, existing business acquisitions, and franchises. Stop climbing the corporate ladder – and create one! For most people, starting a business is a once-in-a-lifetime event. It is essential to utilize the best available resources effectively and get it right the first time. We’ll explore the use of an established, proprietary process to match a person’s talents and goals with the right franchise choice.

Topics addressed will include:

• Business ownership pros and cons
• How franchise ownership compares
• Franchising misconceptions dispelled
• Franchise search strategies and methodologies
• Funding options and financial considerations
