  musical review conceived by Joan Micklin Silver and Julianne Boyd.&nbsp
 \; The musical revue was a production of The Women's Project that played
  at "The Top of the Gate" at The Village Gate\, New York City\, from Nov
 ember 2\, 1983 through November 14\, 1983\, and then opened in the basem
 ent space of the American Place Theatre\, New York City\, on February 24
 \, 1984 through March 11\, 1984. The show features songs by Marta Kauffm
 an\, co-creator of the sitcom Friends\,&nbsp\; Emmy Award-winning compos
 er Glen Roven\, Broadway composer and sister to Carly Simon\, Lucy Simon
 \, and Singer/Songwriter Amanda McBroom who wrote "The Rose"\, which was
  made famous by Bette Midler.NY Times reviewer\, Frank Rich\, states\, "
 To be sure\, A . . . My Name Is Alice is a small - scale entertainment\,
  but you're likely to emerge from its underground home feeling a real li
 ft."The cast features an ensemble of five area actresses:&nbsp\; Terri G
 orgone\, Sahirah Johnson\, Deborah Martin\, Corinna Sowers-Adler and Cin
 dy Summers.&nbsp\; Terri Gorgone holds a Master's degree from NYU and is
  the Musical Theater Director at the Cicely Tyson School of the Performi
 ng Arts.&nbsp\; Sahirah Johnson has been a professional recording artist
  since the age of 15 and appeared in the national tour of "Rent".&nbsp\;
  Deborah Martin is a published composer: THE PRINCESS\,THE POET\, and th
 e LITTLE GREY MAN and is on the faculty of the Wilson School and the New
  Jersey School of Dramatic Arts.&nbsp\; Corinna Sowers-Adler was named o
 ne of NYC's top 15 cabaret singers by Nitelife Exchange and is the Artis
 tic Director of Oakeside's "Music at the Mansion" series.&nbsp\; Singer 
 Cindy Summers was a featured performer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
 Proceeds will benefit the Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center\, a not-fo
 r-profit organization.&nbsp\; Tickets are $20 per person and are availab
 le by calling 973-429-0960.&nbsp\; Limited seating available.&nbsp\; Som
 e scenes contain adult material.&nbsp\; Not suggested for children. Perf
