Wyatt knows a lot about loyalty - even though he's been stationed here for way too long, he never doubts his handlers when they continue telling him that any day now his ship will come in. This large Shar Pei/American Staffordshire Terrier gentleman listens to commands, and while not fond of other dogs, has completed his mission of endearing himself to every volunteer in our troop. We are desperate to help Wyatt weigh an anchor with a new family because he has become so melancholy. At under a year …

Bukowski Shelter for Animals for yet another change of season. And neither can we volunteers. Danny is watching the thermometer go up, counting down the days till summer. Every time a new visitor enters the cat room his heart rises thinking he might be the one to go to a real home - only for his heart to drop when another lucky cat is chosen. Can you stop Danny from running hot and cold and supply the love he needs throughout the spring, summer, fall and …
DeNiro is a new arrival. A 2-year-old Pit Bull Terrier, he quickly let us know that while grateful for the food and shelter we provide, he's ready to use his net to catch a new owner on his own. We guarantee this handsome, noble outdoorsman will give you butterflies in …

Gyspy actually sauntered right through the door of the John A. Bukowski Shelter for Animals as if she knew she reached her destination.
