The Week Ahead: Council Meetings, Color Guard Competitions and More
A look ahead at noteworthy events in the township this week.
Monday
Bloomfield Schools are closed today for President's Day. The library is open, and offering the Joan Crawford movie The Gorgeous Hussy, which follows an inkeeper's daughter in her affair with President Andrew Jackson.
Tuesday
The Bloomfield Township Council holds its regular meeting. At the meeting, the Council members will swear in new members for the Recycling Commission, Parking Authority Board, Historic District Review Board, Health Board Members and the Zoning Board of Adjustment. The full agenda is here.
The girls varsity basketball team takes on West Side High School in a 4:30 p.m home game while the Boy's Varsity squad faces off against Columbia High School at 7 p.m. at an away conference game.
Wednesday

Thursday
Bloomfield's Board of Health meets at 6:30 p.m. for their first meeting of the year. Click here for more information.
The girls varsity basketball team takes on Union High School at a 4 p.m. home game and the boys varsity hoops squad takes on Watchung Hills Regional at a 5 p.m. away game.
Saturday
Bloomfield High School hosts the USBands Indoor Percussion and Color Guard Competition at 3 p.m. at Bloomfield Middle School. Twenty groups from north, south and central New Jersey and as far away as Stamford, CT are scheduled to take the floor.

In the BPD incident on Grove St, the word 'scene' should be 'seen', I believe.
