A gas station worker was robbed at gunpoint and pistol-whipped on Sunday night.
The man, an employee of the BP gas station at 560 Broad Street, told Bloomfield Police he was attacked by two men and robbed of approximately $500.
The robbery occurred at about 11:30 p.m., according to a police department report. Two black men wearing blue hoodies reportedly entered the office of the gas station. One of the men displayed a silver handgun and announced, “This is a hold up.”
The man said the suspect struck him numerous times, causing severe damage to his lip while the second suspect took the money.
Both suspects fled west on Bay Avenue after another vehicle entered the lot.
