Obit: Sergio Sanzari, 47
Sanzari, a 1982 graduate of Bloomfield High School, was raised in Bloomfield. More recently he lived in West Caldwell and worked in Verona.
Sergio Sanzari, a former Bloomfield resident, died on Sunday, July 15, at age 47.
Friends and family described Sanzari as always having a real connection with people. His customers at The Mane Place II Salon in Verona, which he owned for the past 25 years, said he enjoyed chatting while cutting hair and especially enjoyed making people laugh.
Born in Newark, he was raised in Bloomfield and was a 1982 graduate of Bloomfield High School. He later graduated from the Capri Institute.
He was a North Caldwell resident for the past 14 years.
Sanzari is survived by his wife, Lisa (nee Andriaccio) of North Caldwell; three children, Sergio Sanzari, Jr., Anthony Sanzari and Gabriella Sanzari, all of North Caldwell; his parents, Ortensio and Marfisa (nee De Benedetto) Sanzari of Clifton; a brother, Orlando Sanzari and sister-in-law, Debbie of Woodland Park and sister, Gilda Sibilia and brother-in-law, Michael, of West Caldwell; his in-laws, Antonio and Josephine (nee Girardi) Andriaccio, of Caldwell, as well as a brother-in-law, Anthony Andriaccio of Caldwell; his nephews and nieces, Justin Sanzari, Tyler Sanzari, Rina Whitehouse, Shari Markese, Michael Sibilia and Nicholas Sibilia; a great-nephew Landon Whitehouse and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and longtime clients.
He was a parishioner of Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church in North Caldwell.
Funeral arrangements were made by Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home.
Services were held Wednesday at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in Caldwell. Internment followed at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery Mausoleum in East Hanover.

I miss seeing you at the salon. I had many happy years working for you... You always made me feel better about things that didn't matter so much. I still sweep around your chair. Probably because you will always be part of that place, because you are there in "spirit". God bless you, Marie
