Man Robbed at Gunpoint on Chester Avenue

Bloomfield man robbed of cash, wallet on Monday

Bloomfield police are looking for two men who robbed a 69-year-old man at gunpoint Monday.

At around 12:40 a.m. that night, a dark-colored, four-door compact car pulled up behind the man, who was not identified by police, after he parked his own car on Chester Avenue, near Ampere Parkway.

The two suspects exited the vehicle, one holding a light-colored handgun demanding the man give them his money and wallet. The suspects took the cash and wallet and fled in the car toward Grove Street.

The suspects were both described as Hispanic men, 5'6 tall, wearing all dark clothing. One was of medium build with short dark hair, while the other was of thin build with a short, dark afro-style hairstyle.
