Bloomfield’s Foley Field Foundation stepped up to the plate last month and donated more than $125,000 to help restore Foley Field.
More than 100 people turned out to celebrate the foundation’s Founding Donors & Sponsors awards dinner on Dec. 13. At the end of the year party, it was announced that the 14 private and civic contributors managed to raise more $125,000 to revitalize Foley Field.
Foundation trustee Dr. Robert Ruffalo was the master of ceremonies. In addition, Foley Field Revitalization Committee Chairman Alfonso Crincoli recounted the sequence of events which led to the creation of the Foley Field Foundation in October of 2010.
The 2011-12 Founding Donors & Sponsors Recognition Award was also given out. These awards recognized those for their outstanding contributions:
