Drug Dealer Nabbed by Bloomfield, Newark Police
Fredrick Elbidaya, 28, of Newark, was arrested in December in his Newark home near the border of Bloomfield.
The Bloomfield Police Department recently worked with Newark Police Department to arrest an alleged drug dealer on the border of the two cities, according to authorities.
The narcotics teams from both departments arrested Fredrick Elbidaya, 28, of Newark, on Dec. 19. That day, both departments set up surveillance at his home on N. 13th Street in Newark. When Elbidaya came home, they presented him with a search warrant and took him into custody, according to police.
Elbidaya was found to be in possession of a sandwich bag containing marijuana, according to police. In addition, police found in his home:
- 100 small Ziploc baggies with an apple symbol printed on them
- 69 white Tramadol pills
- 1 clear plastic bag containing what police believed to be heroin
- 107.6 grams of Premethazine
Elbidaya was transported to Bloomfield Police headquarters and charged with multiple counts of drug possession and distribution. His bail was set at $35,000.
