1. Bloomfield's annual tree lighting is tonight at 7 p.m. in front of Town Hall. Carols will be sung by the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and the Bloomfield High School choir.

2. Afterwards, warm up at the town council meeting at 7:30 p.m. on the second floor of Town Hall.

3. Can't get enough of the holidays? Pop in the library for a free showing of "A Christmas Carol" from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m.

4. Boy Scouts Troop 2 is holding a meeting at Bloomfield Presbyterian Church on the Green to plan upcoming events. All adults are invited to participate at 7:30 p.m.

5. Clean out the closet and donate coats, hats, gloves and scarves to the "Baby, It's Cold Outside" drive sponsored by the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors. Non-perishable food donations are also accepted. Drop-off is at Bloomfield Total Health Center at 1129 Broad St.
