Bloomfield Police Report Video Game Consoles, Computers, Tablets Stolen
Burglars targeted personal electronic devices in four unrelated thefts.
Bloomfield police are investigating a series of recent unrelated robberies all involving personal computing devices and video game systems.
Bloomfield police said someone reportedly kicked in the front door of a home on the 100 block of Franklin Street on Monday, Feb. 18 and stole a PlayStation 3 video game system.
Three days later, police said someone climbed an apartment building's fire escape and entered an apartment through an unlocked window where they took an iPad and two laptop computers.
The same day, police say, a home on the 200 block of Newark Avenue was burglarized between 8 a.m. and 3:35 p.m.
The suspect reportedly entered through the front door and allegedly stole jewelry, a Nintendo DSI, a Nintendo 3DS and a PlayStation game system.
Police also reported a burglar stole tools and an Xbox game console on Feb. 21 from a basement apartment on the 200 block of North 17th Street between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
No signs of forced entry were found.
