Bloomfield High School Athletics Update
Bloomfield Bengals basketball ends successful season with post season loss to Hackensack.
The following message comes courtesy of the Bloomfield High School sports department.
------------
Boys Basketball gave us a thrilling ride-advancing through a stellar field to reach the Sectional Championship Game. Ultimately it was Hackensack’s night but certainly not for a lack of effort on the Bengals part. As they had done at the Football Championship- Bengal nation turned out in force with over 1000 strong. Congratulations to Coach Brunner, his assistants and all the young men on the team, especially those who transitioned from a grueling football campaign to play in arguably the best conference for Basketball in the State
As we prepare for the spring season I have included a picture of former Bloomfield Athletic Director Joe Bogusz at his home in Florida being visited by another Bengal great-Al Glatz-a member of BHS 64 game winning streak Basketball Team. Mr. Bogusz served as AD for over 21 years-overseeing many historic moments in BHS lore. He is nearing his 91st Birthday and the crop of current Bengals wish him many more.
