The Bloomfield High School athlete of the month is senior basketball player Jameel Patterson. 

Patterson recently passed the 1,000 point mark for his career. He has led the Bengals to a 12-9 record this year in the American Division of the Super Essex Conference.

Patterson has also average 19 points in his last six games. He is currently undecided about his college choice.  

The athlete of the month award is sponsored by the Brookdale ShopRite, who will make a donation to the Bloomfield United Way in recognition of each month's winner.
